Tom Janecek brings 14 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on producing working prototypes, product design, and designing for high volume production. Prior to Motor Excellence, Tom studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona and was a key employee and board member with Genuine Innovations, a company providing broad based R&D services as well as manufacturing market leading retail products. Tom’s hand’s on experience encompasses designs ranging from devices flown on NASA’s space shuttle, to medical devices, to mass production tooling and single use retail products.
Tom is also experienced at implementing aesthetic industrial designs into products, using state-of-the-art CAD software packages. A frequent traveler to Asia, Tom has extensive experience in qualifying vendors and overseeing and approving pre-production of parts, assembling processes and developing quality assurance systems. Tom’s range of experiences with manufacturing processes include injection molding, screw machines, stamping, wire forms, four slide machines, die casting, PF welding, laser machining , water jet, CNC machining as well as wire and sinker EDM. Tom is experienced with Magnetic Flux modeling and participates daily in the electromagnetic designs and explorations of ME’s proprietary motor solutions.
